A Match Made In Heaven

We are very proud to announce that several of our dogs have been selected to participate in an exciting program called Teacher's Pet www.teacherspetmichigan.org. This program pairs at-risk youth with shelter dogs for six weeks of obedience training and care. The dogs will the be adopted through our program, and the kids will hopefully have life-altering memories and experiences that will stay with them forever! To see our dogs currently in the program, go to our link for available dogs and look for (TP*) after their name. Demand for dogs coming out of this program is likely to be high, so keep your eyes on our site to find your new best friend.

Recently, the Teacher's Pet program held a week long camp to give kids an opportunity to learn about how to be safe around dogs and how to care for them, among other things. The pictures below are from the various programs and camps.
