When we bring a dog into our rescue the first thing we do is bring them up to date medically. We spay or neuter them, give shots for rabies (if they are old enough), DHLPP, and Bordetella, test them for heartworm, give them heartworm preventative, flea treatment, and deworm them. However, that's often just the beginning! A large percentage of these rescue dogs come to us with conditions like kennel cough, heartworm, broken bones, mange, tumors, cherry eye, infections, or even worse illnesses. We treat all of these conditions, and of course we keep them clean and fed the entire time they are in our care. We purchase endless supplies of cleaning products, collars, leashes, crates, puppy pens, toys, and treats. Our adoption fee often does not begin to cover the costs. Please consider making a donation for the health and happiness of these dogs.
