Canine Companions Rescue Center has saved over 8,000 dogs' lives since 2004, and you are now part of that effort. Congratulations and thank you!
We know the information we provide at the time of adoption can be overwhelming, especially when you just want to get home to bond with your new best friend, so sometimes the information doesn't all sink in. Now that you've had some time (and hopefully have perused the information in the green folder we provided) we'd like to remind you about some resources we offer for free as part of your adoptions fee: Vetting - We encourage you to take your adopted dog to our veterinary partner within one week of adoption for a free check up. You are always welcome to choose to go to another vet, but because of the costs involved and the discounts our veterinary partner provides, we can only cover the costs of services provided by our partner. Training - We offer several handouts about behavior and training on our website, and some of our volunteers have extensive training knowledge. Don't let small problems turn in to big frustrations! Make use of our online training resources, and if you are still having trouble, email us at [email protected] for advice. We will do our best to help make your adoption a success. We have a Facebook page (we appreciate your "likes"!) and a Facebook Adoptees group (you must answer the questions to be a member). The Adoptees page is especially nice for keeping in touch with other adopters who adopted puppies from the same litter as yours, though any CCRC adopter is welcome to join and share pictures of, and stories about, their dogs. Our Newsletter is a great way to see what we're up to. We post our adoption numbers, as well as stories about dogs we've rescued and other useful information and tips. You can sign up by clicking the link at the beginning of this paragraph. Finally, we would like to remind you that we are only able to keep doing what we do through the generosity of people like you! If you are inclined to make a tax-deductible donation, no matter how small, or an ongoing contribution to our cause, donations can be made:
